Roll the future, today!

Mithral

We all love rolling dice and getting a high number. We just don't love what most dice do to the planet. So we made a better math rock: dice carved from bamboo.

Uh oh.

The Problem

Every kind of dice on the market has a catch. Pick your poison:

plastic.exe

Plastic dice

The most common dice out there. They don't biodegrade, so every set you ever lose under the couch sticks around basically forever.

Verdict: lame.
metal.exe

Metal dice

Awesome to roll, no question. But mining and smelting metal pumps carbon into the atmosphere, and that isn't fun for anyone.

Verdict: heavy (on the planet).
wood.exe

Wooden dice

Biodegradable, which is great. Then you check the price. Nice wooden sets can run around $90.

Verdict: WHO is paying $90 for dice?!

"I just want to love rolling dice again!" *falls to the floor*

Well, we've got a solution…

It's
bamboo
dice!

A new way to roll your math rocks. Made for board games and tabletop RPGs, with all the fun and none of the guilt.

🪶 Lightweight

Bamboo is naturally light, so the dice are light, sleek, and super nice to roll.

🛡️ Durable

Bamboo's tough outer shell makes it a seriously sturdy material.

🌱 Eco-friendly

Fast-growing, renewable, and biodegradable. Made from 100% natural bamboo.

💸 Cheap

Bamboo costs less than wood or metal, so our dice cost less too. That's the part that actually matters.

Behind the scenes

How it's made

It's made of bamboo (obviously). We carve it into dice the same way wooden dice are made. Here's the whole process, drawn by us:

  1. 1

    Source the bamboo

Locally sourced in China, the world's biggest bamboo producer.

  2. 2

    Cut it into planks

Stalks get split into flat bamboo planks.

  3. 3

    Cube it

Electronic carvers cut the planks into perfect cubes.

  4. 4

    Sand it & finish it

Edges get sanded smooth and sealed with natural resin. Done dice!

Worried about cutting down too much bamboo? Don't be. We replant what we cut, and some bamboo species can grow around 20 ft in a week, reaching full height in about two months. That's some crazy speed.

"But Alex, who's gonna buy it?"

The price

Great question, sarcastic customer. Eco-friendly, lightweight, nice in your hand, and cheaper than everything else? That's mass appeal.
